TheMinister of Industry prioritizes the following: 1) disposal of waste and toxin endangering lives by elevating the whole industrial waste management system for heightened efficiency; 2) enforcing equality of competition for Thai SMEs by generating income and competitive opportunities; and 3) building new economy industry to be eco-friendly to accommodate the economic restructure that would connect the domestic and international economy, in order for Thai industrial sector to expand and compete globally on a sustainable basis. To succeed in the grand scheme, integration and cooperation are required, especially those between the organizations under the Ministry of Industry. In this regard, the Thai Industrial Standards Institute plays a major part as an agency in charge of overseeing product quality with respect to environmental and consumer safety, while also enhancing the competitive capability of the industrial sector by systematically developing and refining standards, which would lead to rapid growth of competitiveness for Thai Business Sector. On this occasion, I wish for the collaboration of every relevant stakeholder to bring a secured and sustainable growth for Thai economy and industry. I also wish the Thai Industrial Standards Institute every success in every aspect of their work as the National Standards Body of Thailand that has been in charge of standardization activities for 55 years, and a pillar of the Industrial Sector as well as the excellence of Thai standards.
