Miss Pimphattra Wichaikul, Minister of Industry , presided over Sub-Committee on Consumer Protection under the Human Rights, Freedom, and Consumer Protection Commission of the Parliament to the study visit on “Consumer Rights Protection in the Case of Standards and Industrial Product Safety” to exchange the perspectives on standards and industrial product safety, and market surveillance to maintain the product quality, especially on online shopping platforms. The representatives from the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) and the Consumer Protection Police Division, Central Investigation Bureau (CPPD-CIB) participated in the discussion. The study visit was held at the Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center (ATTRIC), Chachoengsao province. The visiting team was also updated on the establishment of AATRIC, such as the automotive parts and tyre testing laboratory building, electric vehicle testing laboratory, brake system testing tracks, and skid-pads.
