On 20 December 2023, Mr. Banjong Sukreeta, Secretary-General of TISI , presided over the meeting with 10 Thai Iron and Steel Associations including the Association of Thai Hot-Rolled Flat Steel, the Association of Thai Cold-Rolled Flat Steel, the Metal Tube and Cold-Forming Steel Association, the Association of Hot-Rolled Structural Steel Manufacturers, the Association of Long Steel Manufacturers with Electric Arc Furnace, the Thai Metal Works Association, the Thai Stainless Steel Development Association, the Thai Galvanizing Association, and the Steel Roof association. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the current situation of steel industry, domestic and international, and consider solutions to the issue of decreased capacity utilization rate and other issues, as well as revising steel standards to prevent any damage to the citizen or Thai economy. Mr. Wanchai Phanomchai Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Acting Secretary-General of TISI , Mr. Weeraphong Iamjaroenchai, Deputy Secretary-General of TISI, TISI executives, and relevant officials participate in the meeting at the meeting room no. 230, TISI Building.
