On19December 2023, Mr.Wanchai Phanomchai, Deputy Permanent Decretary, Ministry of Industry, Acting Secretary-General of TISI , presided over the discussion with Mr. Arun Iamsuree, Chair of Supply Chain Security Working Group and Executive Board Member, Federation of Thai Industries, to find solutions to prevent the import of uncertified products into Thailand, such as develop more compulsory standards, support the SDO mechanism as fast track for developing compulsory standards, revise licensing process by prioritizing domestically developed TIS. Representatives for various groups under the Federation of Thai Industries, such as Electrical and Electronics, Textile, Steel and Rubber, as well as TISI’s Directors of Surveillance Divisions 1-3 and relevant officials participated in the discussion at the meeting room no. 230, TISI Building.
